Interview mit Kaylou aus Dänemark

1.when was the last time u cried ?
I cry when I need it. It’s gotten more and more often in the last years. Due to the fact that I’m living in a foreign country without my family, and have lots to learn concerning my job in the music business, but learning it has made me happier. I cry and directly feel better. I used to keep saving the problems inside.

2.which was the last movie u saw at the cinema?
Grosse haie kleine fische. It’s still difficult to watch movies in German. And the English versions are played on Mondays or at times where I cannot make it. But the movies for kids I understand.
I watch as much German television as possible.

3.do u believe in star signs and horoscopes?
I don’t believe in typical week magazines. But in real astrology I do believe. I’ve made a personal one. It tells a lot about my personality and helps me in situations where I don’t understand myself.

4.do u have a boyfriend? ?
Not at the moment ?

5.which relationship do u have towards the boys in the band?
The boys are my family when I’m here in Germany. They were the only ones I knew in the beginning. Together we had laughs that just kept on going in a way I didn’t know before. It’s sometimes pretty hard to be the only girl, cause we’re stuck on each other every day, but also doing a thing that we love, the music. I’ve never made friends like that before. I guess we all know each others good and bad sides. They’re my best friends and I guess I’ll keep them in my heart allways. No matter what we’re doing in 10 years…

6. is there any direction (musicwise) u would like to try out one day?
I have gotten to know JAZZ in the time being here in Germany, and I love it. I would like to try out something in that direction one day. Or maybe a bit more experimental stuff. I don’t know. The music has it’s many ways. There’s allways something new to discover. That’s the wonderful thing about it!:-)

7. where would u like to live one day?
In Germany I’ve learned to live with very less. I bet I could live almost everywhere. But it would be wonderful to wake up with the sound of the ocean every day. Or somewhere where the sunset is beautiful.

8. what are u afraid of?
I try not to think too much about death but it’s a topic that concerns me. If something’s going on in Denmark I just can’t go back directly. I do my best to let people know that I love them. So loosing people that are close to me is a thing I’m really afraid of.

9. is there an artist with whom u would like to perform?
Good question. I guess I could make a long list but in the end I would have too much respect for the artists to do something if the option was there. I mean, it would be great to stand next to Chaka Khan or Stevie Wonder etc., but honestly I guess I would pee in my pants before I had the chance to prove that I do sing quite okay ?

10. what is ur favourite way to spend ur sparetime?
When I’m together with my friends doing nonsense. That makes me laugh. And I LOVE to play computergames for hours and hours. I’ve got a gameboy for Christmas and I carry it around everywhere. But actually I also like to spend time on my own. To take a walk in the nature and just think about things.

11. which place do u like best for spending ur holiday?
I love the Como lake in Italy. There I meet Ric (Noizmakers) and everything changed. Sailing at the lake and smelling the flowers, and visiting the small promenades where you can buy a sandwich and get cold wine. That’s the sound of holiday! It all tastes better there. But there’s so many other beautiful places on earth. I’d like to make a world trip some day.

12.do u like germany?
Germany is really big and here I have the freedom to be me when I like and want. In Denmark there are lots of small villages where there’s no space to be different. That’s a big plus about Germany. Your history makes your country very interesting, and I love German sausages!!!! You have everything here!! With a few words: Germany is a pretty cool country!
